Delna Hebert

Delna Marie C. “Blue” Hebert, 96, died on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Heritage Manor of Napoleonville. She was a resident of Belle Rose and a native of Brusly St. Martin. She was a longtime member of the Ladies Altar Society of St. Martin Chapel.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Carroll Hebert and Margaret; and Larry Hebert and Susan; two daughters, Marie Cecile and husband Sonny Orillion, and Lauren Hebert; five grandchildren, Amanda Tabor, Jeff Hebert, and wife Ginger, Lauri Rodrigue and husband Ryan, Michelle Russo and husband Sam, Kimberly Gregoire and husband Alan; six great grandchildren, Erin Percle, Lindy Tabor, Callie Hebert, Tricia and Reese Rodrigue and Haeleigh Gregoire.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll J. Hebert, Sr.,; parents, Melize and Cecile Landry Charlet; four sisters, Hilda Charlet, Denise Fernandez, Vivian Simoneaux, and Verda Bellina; and a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Moore Hebert.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 6:00p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville and on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Brusly St. Martin Chapel in Brusly St. Martin, Rev. Andrew Merrick celebrant. Entombment will follow in church cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heritage Manor and St. Catherine Hospice for their kind and considerate care of “Mrs. Blue” and also to Dr. Copple and Donthinini of St. Elizabeth Hospital as well as all the nursing staff there. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
