Enola Hebert Dugas, age 101, a native of Schriever and a resident of Paincourtville, Louisiana passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. She was one month shy of 102 years old and her memory was impeccable! She was a very hardworking wife of a farmer during hard times while raising six children. She enjoyed her sweets, spending time with her family and cooking Sunday dinners with love. She was very strong-willed as well as being a devout Catholic. Everyone looked forward to the traditional Christmas Eve mass and afterwards gathering at her home. Her famous red corn and oyster dressing was enjoyed by all. We all anxiously awaited with anticipation for our special gifts from them. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters, Norma Blanchard, and Connie Templet; sons, Raymond "Buster" Dugas, Dennis Dugas, Sr. (Susan), and Keith Dugas (Donna); grandchildren, Casey Dugas, Justin Jr. (Christy), Jason, Joey Blanchard (Cassie),Neal Dugas (Marcel), Denny Dugas (Brent) Krissy Lirette (Brett), Danny (Jennifer) and Penny Templet; and Christopher Dugas: great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jace, and Jaylon Dugas, Mallory, Isley, and Lilly Blanchard, Clayte, Collin and Sadie Blanchard, Jake and Max Wyble, Stevi and Charli Dugas, Adrionne, Brooks,and Cadie Beth Kusy, Noah and Joshua Templet. Daughter-in-law Doris Dugas She is preceded in death by her parents, Sadie and Joseph Hebert; loving husband, Lloyd J. Dugas, Sr.; son, Lloyd "Casey" Dugas, Jr.; granddaughter, Janine Blanchard and Jenny Lynn Templet; brothers, Norman Hebert, Ralph Hebert, Earl Hebert, Sr., Herman Hebert and Wilfred Hebert; and son-in-law, Douglas Templet. The pallbearers will be Justin Blanchard, Jr., Jason Blanchard, Joey Blanchard, Casey Dugas, Denny Dugas, Neal Dugas, Danny Templet and Christopher Dugas. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Elizabeth Catholic Church (P.O. Box 1) at 119 LA-403, Paincourtville, LA 70391, "Save Our Treasures Campaign". A special thanks to her caregivers, Wendy Blanchard, Jeanette, Jo Heard, Dr. Eric Gravois, Danielle Cavalier, PA, and Cardinal Hospice for their care and compassion. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm. Burial to follow in church cemetery.
