With profound love, we celebrate the life of our beloved mother, Ethel Vigier LeBlanc, who passed away peacefully in her home on July 21, 2026, at the remarkable age of 103 years old. She was born on August 7, 1922, and lived a long life of love, faith, and devotion to her family.
She dedicated her life to caring for those she loved and created a home filled with warmth and cherished memories. She was a native of White Castle and longtime resident of Donaldsonville.
Now, left to carry on the spirit of this incredible role model are her four children, Judy Hidalgo, Don LeBlanc, Janet Detlefs (Phil) and Cathy Guidry. She will live in the hearts of her nine grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Rosemary Zumo.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Lawrence LeBlanc; three sons-in-law Gary Hidalgo, Richard Burtt, and Al Guidry; her parents Vernon and Gladys Vigier; and her sisters, Virgie Panepinto, Gladys Palermo, and Nellie Mae Bolotte.
The family request visiting hours be observed on Monday, July 27th from 10:00am to 12:00 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Donaldsonville. Mass of Christian burial to follow at noon.
The family is grateful for her days spent at home with the loving care of her family, Pinnacle Hospice and sitters Chris Calvaruso and Doris Hebert.
