Frances Jane Crochet Hernandez, age 87, a native of Addis and a resident of Donaldsonville, Louisiana passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, July 7, 2024. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a devout Catholic who cherished her faith. She never drove a car and was often seen riding her bicycle around Donaldsonville for many years.

She is survived by her three daughters, Theresa Albert (George); Alida Chiquet (Kip) and Pamela Parker; son, Adam J. Hernandez, III (Kristine); sister, Odile Landry; seven grandchildren, Brittney Falcon (John), Kelsey Albert (Seth), Lanie Hano (Brent), Miranda Guarisco (Dominick), Trent Parker (Carissa), Colby Parker, and Bryce Parker; six great-grandchildren, Jacob and Aubrey Falcon, Kason and Hadley Hano, and Kane and Parker Guarisco along with a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Adam J. Hernandez, Jr.; her parents, Albert and Florestine LeBlanc Crochet; four brothers and spouses, Ferdinand and Shirley Crochet, Norman and Mitsuyo Crochet, Sr., Floyd Crochet, Houston Crochet, and numerous half-brothers and half-sisters, nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers will be Trent Parker, Colby Parker, Bryce Parker, John Falcon III, Brent Hano, Dominick Guarisco, Seth Chustz, and Benny Landry, Jr.

The honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Falcon, Kason Hano, Kane Guarisco, Gerald Hernandez, and Rickey Crochet.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Donaldsonville (Smoke Bend). Burial at the church cemetery is to follow. Father Matthew Dupre will be officiating.

The family would like to thank her St. Jude Subdivision neighbors for helping her throughout the years and for the many phone calls and visits from her family and friends, which she truly cherished.
