Georgiana Millien Cavalier

Georgiana Millien Cavalier, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, La., at the age of 82 on June 9, 2018. She was a resident of Donaldsonville and a native of Barton, La. She retired from South Central Bell with 25 years of loyal service. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Thomas Cavalier; one son, Gerard Cavalier; one grandson, Josh Cavalier; one granddaughter, Kaleigh Cavalier; one great grandson, Ty Cavalier; one sister, Audrey Carbo; one brother, Oneal Millien; two sister-in-laws, Mary and Virgis Millien; and one brother-in-law, Venis Park, along with a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Madora and Oneal Millien, Sr.; one brother, Allen P. Millien; one mother-in-law, Eloide Cavalier; one father-in-law, Godfrey Cavalier; one sister-in-law, Irene; one nephew, Keith Carbo; and one great nephew, Gary “Little Coon” Falcon. The family would like to send a special thanks to the Donaldsonville Fire Department, the Acadian Ambulance Service, Father Sam, Father Paul, and the staff of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center for their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 12:00 pm at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church until the Mass of Christian burial at 2:00 pm in Donaldsonville.
