Gerald Neal Melancon

He was the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Claude Melancon. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who showed his love for his family and friends every day and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a member of the United States National Guard, the Knights of Columbus Council #1514, and retired from Kaiser Aluminum in 1998.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Hood Melancon; his daughters, Tracy Melancon Andry (Kyle) and Kim Melancon Cazenave (Dennis); his grandchildren Courtney Andry, Stephanie Andry (Connor Turner), Jordan Cazenave (Eve Bailey), and Samantha Cazenave Marcombe (Rhett); and his great-grandchildren, Emery Smith and Reed Marcombe. Loving brother to Corrinne Bouquet of Gonzales, LA.

Gerald was preceded in death by his siblings; Elizabeth Haydel, Yolande Bolline, Mildred Lands, Lucille Dolbear, Gertrude, Claude, Raymond, Edward, James, Roy, and Eugene Melancon.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at St. James Catholic Church starting at 8:30 A.M until mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church Cemetery.
