

Born on October 7, 1943, to Andrew and Elnora LoBello, Gloria was originally from Aben, Louisiana. She made her home in Donaldsonville beginning in 1978, where she built a life filled with love, devotion, and community.
A woman of deep faith, Gloria found comfort in praying the Rosary. She carried a quiet spirituality that guided her in all she did, and was known for her willingness to help others, even when it was inconvenient for her. She loved knitting and enjoyed creating gifts that expressed her affection in every stitch. She enjoyed the fun and excitement of the casino, where her laughter and bright spirit made every visit a memorable one.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Elnora LoBello, and her sister, Deloris LoBello.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Madere, and their five children: Richard Madere Jr. (Dawn), Danny Madere (Leslie), Randy Madere (Dana), Rhonda Madere LeBlanc, and Tammy Madere Pujol (Rodney).
Gloria was blessed with 12 grandchildren: Michael Madere, Andrew Madere, Brian LeBlanc (Sabel), Jake Madere, Michael Sullivan (Alison), Angelle LeBlanc Landry (Anthony), Jordan Madere (Brooke), Amber Petite (Darin), Dani Madere (Tim), Haley Sullivan, Garrett Madere, and Lexi Howard. Additionally, her legacy lives on through 14 great-grandchildren.
To those who knew her, Gloria was a source of unwavering love, selflessness, and gentle strength. Her presence made every gathering brighter, her kindness left an imprint on every heart, and her faith shaped her into a woman of profound grace. She will be profoundly missed and forever cherished.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 for 9:00 am at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church until the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 am in Donaldsonville.
