

Gordon proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. A 1961 graduate of St. James High School, he was an outstanding athlete and earned All-State honors as a running back in 1960. Throughout his life, Gordon was known for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and the friendships he built within his community.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Marjorie Blanchard Troxclair; his two sons, Jody Troxclair and Gregory Troxclair and wife, Gigi Troxclair; his cherished grandchildren, Jordyn Schexnayder and Gypsy-Rose Troxclair; his sisters, Rose Waguespack, Theresa Elgier, and Loraine Louviere; and his brothers, Robert Troxclair, Ronald Troxclair, and Gerald Troxclair.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church Cemetery, Donaldsonville, Louisiana.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and the hospice nurses for the exceptional compassion, kindness, and care they provided to Gordon during his final days.
Gordon will be remembered for his love of family, his service to his country, and the lasting impact he made on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will be treasured always.
