

Herman was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He worked for Shell Oil and Taylor Energy at LaPice Oil Field for forty years. Herman was a proud World War II Veteran.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his three children, Shirley Usey, Karen Hernandez (Tracy), and Herman Torres Jr. (Michelle); son-in-law, James Wood Jr.; ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and two sisters, Mildred Simon and Helen Torres.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty five years, Anabel Schexnayder Torres; one son, Lloyd Torres; one daughter, Annabell Wood; one great grandson, Micah Michaud; parents, Otis and Helen Torres and seven siblings, Hilda Lasseigne, Cesaire Chaumont, Pearl Levet, Clara Waguespack, Roy Torres Sr., Joseph Torres Sr. and Roland Torres.
A visitation will be held at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Donaldsonville.
