James J. “Jimmy” Haynes a native and resident of Donaldsonville passed away Friday June 27, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 81. He was a retired carpenter, a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the V.F.W and the American Legion.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 2, 2014, 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, with Rev. Paul Yi, celebrant. Entombment will be in the Ascension Mausoleum under the direction of Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville.
Survivors include his daughters; Nanette Baldwin and JoAnn Latino, 5 grandchildren; Tana Baldwin, Karen LeBlanc, Betsey Baldwin, Emily LeBlanc, Joseph Baldwin, 3 great grandchildren; Marley Baldwin, Dodie Baldwin, and Parker Baldwin, 4 sisters; Aggie Friloux, Eva Friloux, Shirley Gaubert, and Catherine Breaux, 3 brothers; Joe Haynes, Dale Haynes, and Dave Haynes.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Antoinette Haynes, a brother; George Haynes, and a sister; Betty Haynes.
