Jerome "Jerry" Joseph Waguespack

4/24/1933 – 1/1/2023

Jerome, 89, was born April 24, 1933 to the late Wilson Waguespack and Annette Hebert Waguespack in Donaldsonville, LA. He passed away peacefully January 1, 2023.

Jerry was an usher at St. Jules Catholic Church. He enjoyed his many trips to the casino and visiting his neighbors on his golf cart. He loved his family dearly but he especially loved watching his grandchildren play their sports. If you didn’t find Jerry in his garden you could find him working in his shop. He was also a member of the Bulldog Backers Club and was known as “Uncle Jerry” to all players and coaching staff. He loved his purple and gold, both for LSU and Ascension Catholic. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Earline Callegan Waguespack; one daughter, Jeri Waguespack Dupre and spouse Dwayne; one son, Jan Waguespack and spouse Janet; five grandchildren, Emily Dupre, Haley Dupre, Jonathan Waguespack, Jordan Waguespack, Jamie Waguespack; one brother, Wilson Waguespack and spouse Margie.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Alidor, Leonard, Leslie Sr. and George; four sisters, Vivian, Marie, Heloise and Georgette.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at St. Jules Catholic Church in Belle Rose on Monday, January 9, 2023 beginning at 8:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00am.
