

Jimmie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend who cherished his family and the many relationships he built throughout his life. He was a devout Catholic who cherished his faith and served as a committed Adorer in the Adoration Chapel at Ascension Catholic Church for over thirty years. A proud graduate of Ascension Catholic High School's Class of 1960, he was actively involved in and a proud member of the 4-H club and the school band, where he played the trumpet.
Jimmie proudly served in the Army National Guard and was a dedicated member of the American Legion Post 98 Honor Guard and Rifle Squad. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing music with numerous bands, gardening, and hunting with his dogs.
He dedicated 34 years of service as an Operator at Triad Chemical Plant, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment. Jimmie will be remembered for his love of family, community, and country.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes Newchurch Pizzolato of fifty-seven years; two children, Michelle Pizzolato Blanchard (Brad) and Bradley James Pizzolato (Sandy); five grandchildren, Katie Pizzolato, Jacob Blanchard, Sarah Pizzolato, Kale Blanchard and Molly Pizzolato; brother, Kenneth J. Pizzolato (Linda); sister-in-law, Evelyn Pizzolato; two nephews, Brian Pizzolato (Rhonda), Chad Pizzolato and two nieces, Heather Garrot (Brent) and Lauren Pizzolato.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rita Pizzolato; one brother, Frank Pizzolato Jr. and his two nephews, Craig Pizzolato and Frankie Pizzolato.
Pallbearers will be Brad Pizzolato, Brian Pizzolato, Jacob Blanchard, Kale Blanchard, Roland Landry Jr. and Tommy Newchurch. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Pizzolato, Chad Pizzolato, Elliott Landry, Brad Blanchard, Michael Tortorich, Cy Tortorich, and Charles Marquette Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Ascension Catholic School, Ascension Catholic Church, and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at Ascension Catholic Church in Donaldsonville, LA. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum.
