John Richard Wendt

John Richard Wendt, 76, a native of Napoleonville and resident of Donaldsonville, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017. John had a passion for hunting, fishing and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Connie Percle Wendt; two daughters, Donna Wendt Hawkins (Jeffery W. Hawkins) and Sheila Wendt Acosta; two sons, Johnny P. Wendt (Paula D. Wendt) and Jamey J. Wendt (Malinda B. Wendt); thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; five sisters, Viola Stubbs, Shirley Steward, Agnes Glavianna, Stella Gaudet and Jeanette Deist; five brothers, Charles Wendt, Roy Wendt, Ronald Wendt, Gene Wendt and Kenneth Wendt. Preceded in death by his parents, Richard P. Wendt and Josephine M. Parret; three brothers, Earling, William and Harry Paul Wendt. Pallbearers will be: Scottie Wendt, Jesse Wendt, Coty Wendt, Ryan Corde, Toby Acosta, Jonathan Acosta, Johnny Wendt and Jamey Wendt. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Devin Shaffett, Jaiden Wendt and Tyler Hawkins. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and the staff of Touro Infirmary for assisting in his care while he was there. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 6 pm to 10 pm and will resume on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 8 am until 10:30 pm at Ourso Funeral Home.
