Joyce Goodwin

Joyce Joffrion Goodwin, age 84, passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 at Landmark of Baton Rouge. She was a native of Grosse Tete, La and resident of Donaldsonville, La. She was retired from Ascension Parish Library.

She is survived by two sons, William E Goodwin Jr. and James C. Goodwin both of Donaldsonville, La; six grandchildren William E. Goodwin III of Prairieville, La, Kay G. Zaccari of Jersey City, NJ, Ryan G. Goodwin of Katy, TX, Kurt M. Goodwin of Gonzales, John Goodwin of Geismar, La, and James “Wesley” Goodwin of Denham Springs, La.; 10 great grandchildren Matthew and Conner Goodwin, Dylan and Hayden Goodwin, Andrew and Maya Goodwin, Jack and Kate Goodwin, Alex and Mia Goodwin; sister Florence Chauffe of Grosse Tete, La; and brother A C Joffrion of Grosse Tete, La.

Preceded in death by husband William E. Goodwin Sr., parents A C Joffrion Sr. and Telcide LeBlanc; and sister Jacqueline D’Antonio.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville from 10:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Protestant Cemetery of Donaldsonville.
