I have so many wonderful memories of my maw maw Joyce. Memories that go way back to when they lived in Bunn Hood subdivision-then to French Settlement-Then to Brûlée Marin Rd-then Pierre Part-then the nursing home in Donaldsonville. I am so proud to call her maw maw. So blessed to have had her in my life for so long. So many things about her make me smile. Her physical absence still makes me cry. I know she’s around keepin watch. It brings a comfort to my aching saddened heart. I saw a formation in the clouds last weekend driving to work I swear it looked like a profile of her. Before I could snap a picture of it it was gone. I was outside the other day, at home, and heard these birds chirping away making noise, a rukkus as she used to say. I know that was her and my paw paw and no telling who she brought with them to come by for a visit. Crazy? Maybe so but I’m ok with that. I search for what you can see with your heart and not just your eyes. I miss this lady! I lose and misplace things and then say to myself, out loud-I am Joyce Gros’ granddaughter! I am proud of that. She was funny! So funny. And sensitive too! I miss talking to her and visiting with her. She and paw paw Raymond were so good to us. They showered us with love. Knowing she is reunited with him and with the Lord in heaven, free of all ailments and restored to new is comforting...but I still miss her and my heart still aches. One day, if I’m worthy to walk through the gates of heaven, I’ll see this beautiful spirit, lady -maw maw Joyce again! Until then 😘❤️ I’ll keep my eyes turned up for you! Love ya Maw Maw Joyce
