

She was a native and life long resident of Donaldsonville, Louisiana until September 2024 when she moved to Bossier City, Louisiana to be closer to family. She was born August 14th, 1941. Judy graduated from Ascension Catholic High School in 1959 and was later honored as a distinguished graduate. She attended and graduated from Hotel Dieu School of Nursing in New Orleans. She was married to her devoted husband, Tyrone Pizzolato, for 54 years until his death in December 2020. Judy worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years in various healthcare settings. Judy was a lifelong member of Ascension Catholic Church in Donaldsonville.
Judy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She appreciated getting together with classmates from Ascension Catholic and Hotel Dieu on a regular basis. She also enjoyed playing bingo, stamp-collecting, going to the casino, and watching Tulane Football and the New York Yankees.
Judy is preceded in death by her loving husband, Tyrone Pizzolato, her parents, Uton & Irene Dugas, and her sister and her husband, Louis “Preacher” and Jacqueline Schexnayder.
She is survived by three daughters and son-in-laws, Sheila and Tim Carlisle, Ann and Tommy Harvey, and Jenny Fallo, five grandchildren that she loved very much, Kennedy and Jack Carlisle, Anna Katherine and Grace Harvey, and Drew Fallo, and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carol and Jimmy Regira and Janet Reed.
The pallbearers will be Jack Carlisle, Drew Fallo, Darrin Regira, Gary Regira, Chris Allen, and David Allen with honorary pallbearer, Kenneth Schexnayder.
A visitation will be held at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Donaldsonville on Thursday, April 16th from 9am-11am with the Mass of Christian burial following visitation. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum. Father Matt Dupre will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church or Ascension Catholic School.
