Kirk was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He pursued his passion for cooking throughout his life and built a distinguished career as a chef. For many years, he worked offshore as a cook. Kirk was especially known for his signature dish, a delicious crawfish bisque that became a favorite among family and friends.
In his spare time, Kirk also enjoyed spending peaceful days on his houseboat, hunting, and crawfishing. Above all, he deeply cherished his family and valued every moment shared with them. His warmth, generosity, and love will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his three children, Kirk Cedotal Jr., Kevin Cedotal and Sage Leonard (Matt); six grandchildren, Austin Cedotal, Kelsie, Emily and Rayne Cedotal, Maddie and Mia Leonard; three great grandchildren, Kambrie Chandler, Maddi Kae Cedotal and Callan Templet; four siblings, Junior Cedotal, Gary Cedotal (Gail), Randy Cedotal (Linda) and Wanda Himel (Paul “Snake”) and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandchild, Baby Boy Richard Cedotal; parents, Noah and Hermance “Blue” Cavalier Cedotal; his three siblings, Alex Cedotal Sr., Barbara Domingue and Mary Ann Sanchez and two nieces, Nicole Cedotal and Randi Jo Cedotal.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff at Chateau D’Ville Nursing Home, especially Lainey, Gabby, Charity and Tim, as well as to Cardinal Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
