Leslie was a proud sugarcane farmer on Goldmine Plantation and a dedicated member of his community. He served as President of the St. John Parish Farm Bureau, served on the State Board for Farm Bureau, and was a member of the Board of Directors for Sunshine Equipment.
Leslie was an avid NASCAR fan and had a true passion for sports, especially baseball and football. He was an active man who took great pride in his work, his community, and the things he loved. His dedication to farming, leadership, and the people around him will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
He is survived by his three children, David Rodrigue (Patricia Martin), Debra Rodrigue (Jason Brod) and Kevin Rodrigue (Teresa Cadena); two grandchildren, Michelle Rodrigue Phillpott (William) and Michael Rodrigue (Amy) and his five great grandchildren, Claire Rodrigue, Olivia Rodrigue, Andrew Hof, Catherine Rodrigue and Luke Hof.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Stan and Edna Tassin Rodrigue and his two siblings, Kenneth Rodrigue and Bernadette Rodrigue Kray.
Pallbearers will be Michael Rodrigue, Jason Brod, Andrew Hof, Luke Hof, Brian Rodrigue and Scott Rodrigue.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Summerhouse Ashton Manor and Hospice Specialists of Louisiana for their care and support throughout Leslie’s time of need.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville, LA from 5pm until 8pm and will resume on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at St. Philip Catholic Church in Vacherie, LA, from 10:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30pm. Interment will follow in the church Mausoleum.
