Lester Paul Sedotal

Lester was a native of Pierre Part and a resident of Belle Rose. He passed away at his home peacefully surrounded by family and friends on June 29, 2016 at 9:05 pm at the age of 89. He retired after many years of service from Evan Hall Sugar Mill. He enjoyed gardening, raising rabbits, camping and spending time with family.

Visitation will be at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville, LA on, Friday, July 1, 2016 from 6 pm to 9 pm and will resume on Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 8:00 am until 10:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jules Catholic Church in Belle Rose at 11 am, celebrated by Father Matthew Graham. Interment in the church cemetery.

Lester is survived by his three children; Lucy Sedotal Richard, Ernest and wife Casey Sedotal, and Beulah Sedotal Huguet all of Pierre Part; two brothers, Lugger Sedotal and Paul and Shirley Cedotal of Belle Rose; two sisters Therese Blanchard of Belle Rose and Virginia Crocker of Gonzales, brother in law and sister in law Eves and Gertie Hebert of Bayou Pigeon; 13 grandchildren and spouses Melissa and Helman Ackman, Krystal and Stacy Gravois, Brent and Randi Richard, Glenn and Jamy Richard, Jamie and Angie Sedotal, Nolan Huguet, Byron and Ashley Sedotal, Shane Sedotal, and Nicole and Michael LeBlanc; 3 step grandsons, Eliott and Leslie Landry, Ben and Amy Morales and Billy Morales and Sarah Allen; and 25 great grandkids and 1 great, great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Hebert Sedotal, of 64 years prior to her passing, his parents Eugene and Adele Hue Sedotal, two sons in law, Roy Richard, Jr. and Ronnie Huguet, Jr. a step grandson, Kenny Morales, one sister, Yvonne (Jackie) Litton and one brother, Leslie Cedotal.

He was a member of St. Jules Catholic Church.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Brent and Glenn Richard, Nolan Huguet, Jamie, Byron, and Shane Sedotal, Elliot Landry, Ben and Billy Morales.
