He was known as PaBoo to his 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was a native and resident of Donaldsonville for more than 90 years. He was born on August 3, 1930, to Louis L. and Maria O. LeBlanc, the 10th of 10 children. Upon graduation from Catholic High School in Donaldsonville he attended LSU. He had various jobs until age 34 when he found his calling with New York Life as an agent. He served his clients for over 50 years. With several siblings having served in WWII, his interest in military service became a priority. He proudly enlisted in the Army National Guard on January 31, 1949, and retired after 20 years of service with the rank of Captain of Btry D 769th AAA Bn (Mbl). Service was a way of life for him. His service to God lasted a lifetime. From Catechism teacher to Baptism prep to Confirmation prep to marriage prep to RCIA assistance to leading small faith groups to starting perpetual adoration to opening the church for early mass to attendance at devotion services at assisted living, he participated in everything. He was also the most self-educated Ascension Catholic Church historian and loved to give tours. He was a Eucharistic minister at Ascension Church and his most satisfying service was delivering the Eucharist to prisoners at Angola. He was a member of the Donaldsonville Rotary Club and the Donaldsonville Elks Club for many years. He was also a founding member of River Parish Community College Foundation Board.
