Lugger Joseph Cedotale

Lugger “Slugger” Sedotal, a native of Belle Rose and later of Bayou Corne, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 9:46pm, at the age of 97. Affectionately known as “Paw Paw Slug”, he leaves behind to cherish his memory a son and daughter in law, Aubrey and Vickie Cedotal and a daughter and son in law, Adele and Roland Blanchard, 5 grandchildren and spouses, Michael and Kim Cedotal, Shanon and Scooter Addison, Kim and Kevin Landry , Tina and Shane Pate and Sandy and Josh Glass , 14 great grandchildren Justin Crose and fiancé Shela Callahan, Corey and Mary Addison, Ryan Addison, Austin Landry, Zachary Thibodaux, Kasyn Landry and fiancé Beau Blanchard, Bailey Pate, Seth Thibodaux, Tori Cedotal, Noah Pate, Hillary Glass, Jake Cedotal, Cannon Glass and Brennan Glass, and 3 great-great grandchildren Aubrie Crose, Caydance Scott and Abel Crose. Also survived by a brother Paul Sedotal, and 2 sisters, Virginia Crocker and Therese Blanchard. As his journey ended on Earth, he is now dancing in Heaven with his loving wife, Audrey Dupree Sedotal. Proceeded in death by parents, Eugene and Adele Sedotal, a sister, Jackie Litton, and two brothers Lester Sedotal and Leslie “Noonie” Sedotal. Pall bearers will be his grandson and great-grandsons, Michael Cedotal, Justin Crose, Austin Landry, Corey Addison, Ryan Addison and Zachary Thibodaux. Honorary pall bearers will be great- grandsons, Seth Thibodaux, Noah Pate, Jake Cedotal, Cannon Glass and Brennan Glass. Lugger, a WWII Veteran, proudly served his country. After retirement from Lula-Westfield, Slugger spent his days on the banks in Bayou Corne enjoying fishing trips, family and his all-time favorite, casino trips. The family would like to extend a heartfelt “THANK YOU” to the Amedisys Hospice nurses for the exceptional care given to Paw Paw Slug during this difficult time. Visitation will be Thursday, October 5th from 5 to 9 pm at Ourso’s Funeral Home Donaldsonville and Friday, October 6th from 8 to 10:30am at Ourso’s with burial of Christian Mass at St. Jules Church, Belle Rose at 11:00am.
