A native of Vacherie and resident of Donaldsonville, he passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the age of 80. Manuel was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and St. Joseph Society.

He is survived by his sons, Scott Oubre and Manuel Oubre, Jr. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Scioneaux Oubre and parents, Adam and Leonor Scioneaux Oubre. Visiting will be Friday, March 16, 2018 at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, Donaldsonville from 9 am until Memorial Mass at 11 am, Rev. Paul Yi officiating. Interment of ashes to follow mass in the church mausoleum. Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville in charge of arrangements.
