Miss Belle loved sewing and creating beautiful clothing for herself and her family. She was especially known for her one-of-a-kind French-sewn dresses and delicate christening gowns, each crafted with care and exceptional skill. As a charter member of the CDA, she enjoyed traveling with both the CDA and the Homemakers Club, forming lasting friendships along the way. Flowers and gardening were among her greatest passions, and she was still lovingly tending her garden just two weeks before her passing. Above all, Miss Belle's family was the center of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with those she loved. A woman of deep faith, she faithfully served as a committed Adorer at the Our Lady of Peace Adoration Chapel until her passing. She was also an active and cherished member of the Vacherie Senior Center, where she enjoyed fellowship and community.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Terry Amedee, Aimee Becnel, Brian and Belinda Rodrigue for the exceptional care, compassion, and unwavering support they provided during Miss Belle's time of need. Their kindness, generosity, and friendship brought comfort to both Miss Belle and her family and will always be deeply appreciated.
Throughout her life, Miss Belle's unwavering trust in God and steadfast Catholic faith sustained her through profound loss. With remarkable strength and grace, she endured the passing of her beloved husband, five sons, a daughter-in-law, a grandchild, a great-grandchild, and several other cherished family members. Despite these hardships, she remained a source of faith, hope, and encouragement to those around her. Her favorite saying, "Live for the living," reflected the way she chose to honor those she had lost by embracing each day with gratitude, love, and devotion to her family and faith.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie, LA, from 9am until Mass of Christian Bural at 11am. Entombment to follow in the church cemetery.
