Marina Marie Aucoin

She was a lunchroom worker for many years in the school cafeteria. She enjoyed dancing, traveling and sitting on the porch simply watching Belle River. She loved her family, especially, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sister Velma Cousin, daughter, Kathy Edwards (Mike); son, Gilday Aucoin Jr; grandchildren, Andy Aucoin (Jimi), Ryan Edwards (Liz), Bryce Aucoin (Joelle), and Taner Aucoin; great-grandchildren, , Jacques and Charlie Aucoin and Eleanor Edwards.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Nellie and Felix Landry; her husband Gilday Aucoin Sr., son, Mark Aucoin; sisters, Dorothy M. Landry and Anna Belle Chedetol; brothers, William, Cleveland, Clive and Steven Landry.

The family would like to thank Danielle Landry, Viola Guillory, Evelyn Pizzolato, Sharon Johnson and Gloria Landry for their care and compassion.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 9:00 until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Jules Catholic Church in Belle Rose. Burial to follow at St. Joseph the Worker Church Cemetery in Pierre Part. Father Tomi Thomas will be officiating.
