I can remember Mr Sotile so well.. He totally believed in his music teachings. He was a great teacher and so patient with all us. I was in his class during my high school years.

I don’t know how he kept his cool with a bunch of teenagers ,all trying to play in tune. He did it too without missing a beat.

I also remember kidding with him during class. He was so easy to talk to .

He left me with fond memories of a teacher that loved his work , teaching music to all of us, with patience and diligence.

He will be sorely missed by his family and
all of his past students.

Our love to his memory ..♥️

My sympathy to Martin's family. Martin and I shared an apartment at 411 Taft Street in Lafayette during our time at S L U/L....He was a champion at playing checkers and I don't recall any one ever beating him.
I last saw him at my first wife's wake in Napoleonville and we reminded each other of the times we spent together. He was truly a really good person. I drove him to Donaldsonville on my way to Vacherie in my Model "A" Ford numerous times and we enjoyed a meal at the restaurant by his Dad. I now live in Lafayette.
My prayer is that " May God Who called you take you home!" May he be blessed in eternity, where all of us strive to be with him!

To all the Sotile family. I am very saddened by Mitch's passing. I was attending ACHS when Mitch started teaching my brother Bobby's class. 7 or 8th grade. All of you are in my prayers.
