
DONALDSONVILLE, LA – On May 4, 2015, Matthew (a/k/a “Mattee” or “Junior”) Joseph Randazzo, Jr. entered eternal rest. He leaves behind his loving family and legacy. Mr. Randazzo was born on July 22, 1932 and was a lifelong resident of Donaldsonville, La. He was the eldest child of Matthew (“Matteo”) J. Randazzo, Sr. and Rosa DiVincenzo Randazzo. Mr. Randazzo followed in his father’s footsteps for many years as a wholesale distributor and retailer of Amoco and Shell gasoline and related products. He brought many innovations to the retail gas station design and customer experience and services in prominent locations in Donaldsonville and White Castle, La. Thereafter, Mr. Randazzo was engaged in many other business ventures under the name of Randazzo Enterprises until his health forced him to retire in 2010. Mr. Randazzo was preceded in death by his parents Matteo and Rosa Randazzo, his sole sibling and sister, Tillie Rose Randazzo, and 2 of his 6 children, Stephen J. Randazzo and Timothy J. Randazzo, Sr. Mr. Randazzo is survived by his loving wife of nearly 61 years, Shirley LeBlanc Randazzo and 4 of his 6 children: Matthew (“Matt”) J. Randazzo, III and his wife Lynn; Paul J. Randazzo, Sr. and his wife Melinda; Jerome (“P-Nut”) J. Randazzo and his wife Brandy; and Rose Angela Randazzo; his 11 Grandchildren: Kim Waguespack, husband, Jody; Matthew Randazzo, wife Melissa; Stevie Ann Randazzo Weems, husband Carl Weems; Lance Sonnier, wife Deshonne; Timothy Randazzo, Jr., Paul Randazzo, Jr., Demi Randazzo, Dillon Randazzo, Jeremy Randazzo, Brett Randazzo and Josh Randazzo; 8 Great-Grandchildren: Reed and Elaina Waguespack, Layla and Aubrey Grace Sonnier, McKenzie Randazzo, Maci Blanchard, Molly Weems and Olivia Randazzo; and 1 Step Great-Grandchild: Wyatt Weems.
