Matthew David Rivere, 20, a native and resident of Brusly St. Vincent, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020. Matthew had a contagious smile, he was a kindhearted person who lived life to the fullest. He never met a stranger. Matt also had a passion for fishing, crawfishing and hunting. Matthew leaves behind to cherish his memory his fiancé, Caitlin Olivier; mother, Rachel Richard and father, Garrett Rivere and wife, Elizabeth; four siblings, Maison, Dakota and Briana Rivere and Kayla Gaudet; two godchildren, Cole and Colton Rivere; grandmother, Dianne Rivere and grandfather, Aubrey Richard and Audrey Richeaux and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Jessie “Hollywood” Rivere and his grandmother, Shirley Aucoin Richard. Regretfully due to present circumstances, a private service will be held but know that all who were loved by our family will feel our love and apparition even in your absence.

We have countless of memories, from going on the lake together, middle school, high school, and partying at the bars. It was always an amazing time when Matt was around. He knew how to make you laugh your behind off and just have a good time. I will never forget his beautiful smile and goofy laugh. You will be truly missed Matt. I love you so much! Watch over us❤️

Never was a dull moment with you from high school till the last time i saw you. From car rides music and no destination, To Goin to the monkey and Stevie’s, and sleepovers at Haley’s. Even though we didn’t really sleep much cause the only thing we did was clown for hours on hours! You were always there for me when i needed someone and I’ll never forget. God blessed me when he put you in my life and i couldn’t be more thankful , I love you matt rest easy my boy. 🤍🙏🏽

Matthew, my son I never gave birth to. Just seeing your smile made knowing you so worth while. Yes, at times you could be a handful, but I didn’t mind because I was always grateful.
