He started his work career after graduation from Assumption High in Napoleonville, as a lineman and then worked his way up in the Oil field from gauger to production foreman. Working for Pat Taylor was his favorite job. He served eight years in the US Army before he was honorably discharged. One of his favorite pastimes was being the “neighborhood watch” man. No one came or went without his knowledge. He was a husband, father, and friend to many, but his special gift was being the best grandfather in the world to Ella Ann, who since birth has been the love of his life.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 9:30a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00a.m. at St. Jules Catholic Church in Belle Rose. Interment to follow at St. Philomena Church, Labadieville. Arrangements by Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville.
“Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there. I do not sleep. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there. I did not die.” I will always live on in the hearts of some. I do not want to cause sadness to anyone.
