Mickey Joseph Rivere

Mickey was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew him. A genuine man with a heart of gold, he always put the needs of others before his own. Mickey lived life to the fullest and loved running the roads, embracing every adventure along the way. He was the life of the party, always ready to share a laugh and make lasting memories with family and friends. He never met a stranger, greeted everyone with a warm smile, and had a remarkable way of making people feel welcome. His love, laughter, and unforgettable spirit will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his two children, Beth Rivere Cavalier (Scott) and Ivory Rivere (Ami); four grandchildren, Scotty Cavalier, Kynzli Jo Rivere, Jax Cavalier and Jane Hebert; father, Felix Rivere; three brothers, Ricky Rivere (Rosemary), Rubin Rivere (Hartense) and Brian Rivere (Ellen); three brothers-in-law Brent Gauthreaux (Nora), Carl Gauthreaux and Feren Gauthreaux (Delores); two sisters-in-law, Claudia Rivere (Philip Jr. “Lobe”) and Christine Domingue (Carol Jr.); five godchildren, Shaun Rivere, Brooke Campo, Jennifer “Lulu” Rivere, Ethan Gauthreaux and Kylie Belle Rivere and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jacquline “Jackie” Gauthreaux Rivere; mother, Geraldine Rivere; father, Ivery Rivere; mother and father-in-law, Ervin “Black” and Mary Miller Gauthreaux; siblings, Wesley Rivere, Chris Rivere and Rebecca Rivere and his sister-in-law, Barbara Blanchard.

A visitation will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment will be held in the church mausoleum.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to ACG Hospice, especially his godchild, Brooke Campo, for the exceptional care and compassion she provided. They also extend their sincere appreciation to Thibodaux Regional Cancer Center, Dr. Keith Landry, and Bronco Industrial for their support and care.
