Myrtle “Minnie” Ourso

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and good friend, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016 at the age of 85. She was employed at First National Bank in Donaldsonville as a teller and loan officer for 25 years. She graduated from DHS in 1948. Minnie served as President of the Ladies Altar Society since 1995, and a Lector and Commentator for 11 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Ourso Jr.; parents, Lena Blanchard and Milton Templet; sister, Madge Gomez; and a son in law, Ricky Diez. She is survived by her daughters, Janet Falcon Diez and Kelly Ann Falcon and husband Louis; son, Dale Falcon and wife Teri; grandchildren, Lance Blouin, Leslie Blouin McLin and husband Kenny, Jody Falcon and wife Lindsey, Gina Falcon Sagona and husband Mark, Britni Falcon Guthrie, Sarah Falcon Ponsaa and husband, Rene’, and Seth Falcon; 13 grandchildren Reise and Jude Falcon, Bailey McLin, Alexis and Avery Falcon, Drew and Adalyn Ponsaa, Josie, Sydnee, and Peyton Sagona, and Logan, Braden and Rylan Guthrie; sisters, Mercedes Sanchez and Gerladine Marquette; and her wonderful compassionate friend, Jeanette Maher. Visitation will be at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Donaldsonville on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, celebrated by Rev. Paul Yi. Entombment to follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Brusly, LA. Pallbearers will be Lance Blouin, Jody Falcon, Seth Falcon, Timmy Gomez, Lynn Gomez, and Darrell Marquette.
