Paula Zeringue Haik

Paula Zeringue Haik, Gonzales, LA, passed away in her home Friday, October 1, 2021 at the age of 76. Paula was a native of Smoke Bend, LA and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA. She was a graduate of Ascension Catholic High School in Donaldsonville. She later got a degree in accounting and was an accountant for both Baton Rouge General Hospital and later Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge. She also served, for many years, on the board for the Louisiana Hospital Financial Management Association. She is reunited with those who preceded her in death, her nephew Jake, her parents Leonard and Iva (Peggy) and her loving husband Mark. She is survived by her son, daughter-in-law and grandson, Matthew, Alexa and Robert; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carole and Jim and Phyllis and Bob; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard (Buster) and Rhonda, Richard (Dickie) and Kelly, Larry (Chris) and Toni. Paula was known for her warm open smile, loving nature and leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness for the many family and friends whose lives she touched.

Public visitation will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 8:30am – 10am at St. Francis Catholic Church in Donaldsonville, LA. Following this, there will be a private family ceremony for siblings, nieces and nephews of the deceased. Mask wearing is encouraged.

An option, in lieu of sending flowers, would be to make a donation in her name to either the Alzheimer’s Association or Autism Speaks.
