

She attended St. Elizabeth School, Belle Rose High and was a member of the first graduating class of Nicholls State University. She lived her adult life in the New Orleans area where she started her own realty company and was an appraiser. She was an artist and a member of the New Orleans Art Association where she served as past President, a member of the Metairie Art Guild and the Le Petit Art Guild. She enjoyed showing her Arabian and Quarter Horses in horse shows. Throughout her life she stayed busy with her loves of reading, tennis, photography and painting.
She is survived by her sister, Lena Roshto; two grandchildren, Rachel Barbier (Jules) and Riley Barbier; great-grandchild, Maddox Mabe; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Philip and Irma Landry; husband, C. R. "Mike" Johnson; daughter, Jill J. Barbier; brothers, Joseph "JB" Landry and Philip "Nunu" Landry; sisters, Lucy Mae "Lou" Alleman, Anna Lee Durocher and Mary Landry.
The family would like to give a special thanks to sitter Tawyn Knockum for her loving care and compassion. The family would also like to thank sitters Tylana Knockum and Chailon Johnson, Dr. Eric Gravois, nurse Debbie Demanuelle and the staff of Amedisys Hospice.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial for 11:00 am at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Paincourtville. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Father Tomi Thomas will be officiating.
