Richard "Richie" Rivere

Richard “Richie” Joseph Rivere, age 43, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in Thibodaux. He was a native and resident of Paincourtville. He was employed at LeBlanc's Payless Grocery Store in Plattenville, LA, where he was loved by every customer and employee of the store.

He is survived by his parents Harold Rivere and Helena LeBlanc Rivere; brother Tony Rivere and wife Nerline; three sisters Louise Boudreaux and husband Victor “Cotton”, Monique Summers and husband Rick, and Theresa Rivere and fiancé Kent Coupel; god parent and aunt Lorraine Landry and god parent and uncle Dudley LeBlanc; seven nieces Kaylynn Rivere, Toni Rivere, Heather Garner, Alexis Blanchard, Gabriella Coupel, Abigail Coupel and Taylor Summers; nephew Devynn Rivere; five aunts Anne Breaux, Margie Cassard, Dale Parera, Patricia Blanchard, and Doreen Landry; seven uncles Abner, Eugene, Falton “Shorty”, Felix, Alton, Jessie, and Larry Rivere.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Roudolph Rivere and Elda Cavalier Rivere, maternal grandparents John LeBlanc and Jean Crochet LeBlanc; five uncles Dalton Rivere, John LeBlanc Jr., Kenneth LeBlanc, Rogers LeBlanc, and Dwayne LeBlanc; and aunt Louise Rivere.

Visitation will be at Ourso Funeral Home of Donaldsonville on Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 6pm to 10pm and Monday, October, 29, 2012 from 8am until 10:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation on Monday at 11am at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Paincourtville. Officated by Rev. Andrew Merrick.

Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum.
