Rose Mary Landry

Rose Mary Landry, 68, died on April 8, 2013 after a long courageous fight against cancer. She was a native of New Orleans and resident of Donaldsonville. She was a loving woman that touched many lives. She was a dedicated employee of Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville for seven years. Rose is survived by her husband, Jerry Landry; son, Robert G. Knaps; sister, Mary Ann Whetstone; brother, Charles Chifici; step-children, Jay and Monique Landry and Michael and Tricia Landry; three grandchildren, Amber, Seth, and Brittany Knaps; three step-grandchildren, Lauren, Erin, and Katelyn Landry; and beautiful dog, SueSue.

Preceded in death by son, Steven J. Knaps; parents, Rose Mae Campesi and Leo G. Rose Sr.; two brothers, Leo G. Rose Jr. and Anthony V. Rose; aunt and uncle, Agnes and Gasper Chifici.

Family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gerald Foret Sr. and Charles Chifici.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of a beautiful person on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Donaldsonville. Entombment to follow in church mausoleum.
