Rose Keller Torres, 102, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice in Baton Rouge. A native and resident of Donaldsonville, Rose was a retired seamtress for B. Lemanns and Brothers. Survived by her daughters, Faye Downey and Judith Schmidt; granddaughter, Christy Hidalgo McLeod; and three great-grandchildren, Brad Jr. and Austin Hidalgo, and Brendie McLeod. Preceded in death by her husband, Noland Torres; daughter, Brenda Hidalgo; grandson, Brad Hidalgo Sr.; three brothers and a sister. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, Donaldsonville, at noon with the Rev. Phil Spano, celebrant. Entombment in church mausoleum.
