Samuel "Buddy" A. Montero Jr.

Samuel A. “Buddy” Montero Jr., age 64 of Belle Rose, LA, died peacefully on Friday, June 10, 2011 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corp, and a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church Usher Society.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at Noon at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church in Donaldsonville, LA. Private burial services will follow at St. Anne Cemetery, Napoleonville, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel A. and Katherine LeBlanc Montero of Donaldsonville, LA and father-in-law and mother-in-law Rufus J. and Beedy Triche Landry of Belle Rose, LA.

He was survived by his wife Susan Landry Montero; daughter Cherie Montero Albro and husband Donald Albro; two sons Chuckie Montero and wife Jenny Acosta Montero, and Ryan Montero and fiancée Michele Morris; sister Kitty Lou Montero Falgout; and four grandchildren Alycia and Grant Montero and Matthew and Declan Albro.

Pallbearers will be Kerry Coulon, Billy Hayward, Phil Landry, Danny LeBlanc, Danny Oubre, and Joe Podufalski.
