Susan Mix Landry

Susan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her family was the center of her world, and her grandchildren were her greatest joy. Whether cheering at sporting events, attending school functions, or celebrating special occasions, Susan was always there with love and encouragement.

She was known for her selflessness, always putting the needs of others before her own, especially those of her family. Susan found peace and happiness in cooking and outdoors. She appreciated her flowers and plants.

Susan’s kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 55 years, Edward Landry Sr.; three children, Edward Landry Jr., Todd Landry and Tara Martinez (Ben); six grandchildren, Collin Landry (Julia), Abigail Landry, Miranda Landry, Trent Landry, Caroline Martinez and Molly Martinez and her sister and her godchild, Madeleine Varner (Johnny).

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gaston Sr. and Janet Neveu Mix and her one brother, Michel “Mitch” Mix.

The Landry Family would like to Thank Vital Caring Home Health, Chateau D’ville Nursing Home, and Our Lady of the Lake Medical Team. A Special Thanks to her wonderful Home Health Nurses; Ashley Oubre, Brittany Albarado, Gina Falsetta, Amie Vitale and Jenny Theriot, all who have become a part of our loving family and for taking excellent care of her. We would also like to thank her two very special sitters, Sheila Exnicious and Evelina Lang who held a very special place in her heart.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at St. Jules Catholic Church in Belle Rose, LA, from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum.
