

Thomas E. Guillot, Jr., age 71, was a lifetime resident of Paincourtville, LA. Born on November 25, 1945, he entered the gates of heaven on December 20, 2016. He was a graduate of Assumption High School, a Vietnam War veteran, and a retired employee of Dow Chemical in Grand Bayou, LA.
A dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, Tommy spent many of his early years playing softball where he made many life-long friends. He was an avid golfer, a faithful L.S.U. fan, and loved being “Poppy” to his five beautiful grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Jane Stevens Guillot, three loving daughters; Nichole Mury and son-in-law, Derek Mury; Meca Chiasson and son-in-law, Brent Chiasson; Mia Templet and son-in-law, Brandon Templet; five grandchildren; Cooper and Adley Mury, Easton Chiasson, Blake and Brooks Templet; three sisters; Lorraine Rodrigue (Phillip), Rita Charlet (Pete), Irene Watson (Greg); two brothers; Danny Guillot (Alma), Ricky Guillot (Robin), and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Thomas E. Guillot, Sr. and Emelda Raffray Guillot.; sisters; Nell Guillot and Shirley Guillot; half-brother; Russell Rodrigue; niece; Kim Charlet; nephew and Godchild; Phillip “Bubba” Rodrigue, Jr; father-in-law; Willie Stevens; mother-in-law; Jennie Sonier Stevens. Visitation will be held at Assumption Catholic Church in Plattenville, LA, on Friday, December 23, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Christian burial to follow in church cemetery.
