Warren J. Dugas, 79, a native and resident of Belle Rose, LA, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Warren was an avid hunter and loved to play baseball in his younger days. He was a loyal LSU Football fan. Warren was a comic at heart telling his famous “Boudreaux” jokes. He was a graduate of Assumption High School.The start of his career in business was opening Dugas Machine Shop, which Warren and Lois ran for 10 years. That led to him becoming a manager for several different Contract Labor companies in Brownsville and Ingleside,Texas for 25 years. While in Ingleside he made many friends that he stay in touch with through the years. Warren was a member of the Moose Lodge in Aransas Pass, Texas. Warren is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lois Coupel Dugas; sister, Phyllis Chapman; nephew, Jeff Dugas; great niece and nephew, Abigail and Benjamin and his fur babies, Bella and Ginger Dugas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Ruth Dugas and great niece, Caroline Dugas. Pallbearers will be Rodney Boudreaux, Benjamin Dugas, Chris Dupeire, Mark Duay, Irving Coupel, Jerry Traigle, David Rousseau and Ricky Coupel. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022 at St. Jules Catholic Church, 7165 Hwy 1 Belle Rose, LA 70341 from 9am – 11am. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am at St. Jules Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Jules Mausoleum.
