William "Billy" Walter Bourg

Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He had a passion for music and watching movies especially Western, action, and comedies. Billy served as a deputy for the Donaldsonville Police Department until 1985 then retired after seventeen years as a Correctional Officer for the Ascension Parish Sheriff's office. He was also a proud member of the U.S. Army.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of fifty seven years, Rhonda Bandy Bourg; one son, William Anthony "Tony" Bourg and wife, Loni; one grandson, Christopher Michael Bourg and wife, Kayla; two great granddaughters, Aaliyah and Amelia Bourg and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by one son, John Thomas Bourg; parents, Valery and Alice Acosta Bourg; three siblings, Beverly Bourg Boudreaux, Kenneth Bourg, and Valery Bourg Jr.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 10am until 12pm at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville.
