

William was born August 7, 1946 to William Hayward, Jr. and Lelia Maher Eastridge. He was a member of Steam and Pipefitters Local #198 and the previous owner of Hayward Seafood in Galvez. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who possessed a larger than life personality. He had a great sense of humor with the ability to laugh at himself. One thing for sure, if you ever met him, good or bad, you would never forget him. We will meet you by the river!
Left to cherish his memory is his son, William Hayward IV; four grandchildren, Randi, Reagan, Matthew and Tyler Hayward; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Christine Rodriguez; dear friend, Paula Maxey; and his loving pets, Doctor J and Spot.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved son, Matthew B. Hayward.
The family would like to thank all the friends that gave support by visiting and praying for him . He was overwhelmed with gratitude. The family would also like to thank the staff at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge for their outstanding care and compassion.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2025 from 10:00 am until the funeral services for 12:00 pm at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville. Burial will follow at Ascension of Our Lord Church Cemetery.
