My memories of Billie go back to when I was quite young. I remember attending family gatherings at her home. I also remember hearing stories about how Billie and my mom would go over to help my Aunt Ruby during that time.
	However, many of my memories of Billie are more recent. She celebrated with us at my dad’s 90th and 95th birthday parties at his home. Before the spring of 2020, we also participated in regular birthday gatherings at Hometown Buffet, orchestrated by my Uncle Jim. These events were a great way to catch up, as well as, reminisce. I always enjoyed her company. I admired her positivity and was impressed by how her memory remained clear and sharp.
	Billie also encouraged me to keep praying and not ever to give up. She believed in the power of prayer and was a faithful prayer warrior. I fondly remember some visits with her where I listened to the 30 minute rosary program on Catholic radio. She always asked about all my family members, so that she could pray for them.
	She loved her family and was aware of how blessed she was by them. She liked to tell my daughter and I about the family photos she had stored at home. We looked through some of them with her once.
	Someone already wrote about her generosity on here and it was true. If she had extra tangerines from those that a neighbor had dropped off at her house, she would offer me some. Myself and my closest family members could count on regular birthday cards, often containing a gift card for In-N-Out Burger, which had been my dad’s favorite fast food restaurant. These were much appreciated.	
	Billie acted wisely and planned in practical ways for her future. She gave very wise advice in many matters. I called her when I needed some help with my dad as his health declined. I appreciated her counsel. As the Lord blessed her she found it easy to bless her family, friends and those she met. May the Lord welcome you into eternal peace.

In Loving Memory of Billie

It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to my dear neighbor and friend, Billie.

I have known Billie for more than 30 years, and during all those years, she became much more than a neighbor. She was a kind, loving, and caring person who was loved by everyone in our neighborhood. She was truly one of the kindest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing.

Billie was always thinking of others and looking for ways to help. One of the memories I will always cherish is seeing her walking around the neighborhood, sharing bags of avocados from her tree with her neighbors. It was such a simple gesture, but it showed the generous heart she had.

Whenever I visited Billie, she was always happy to share her gardening tips with me. I enjoyed sitting with her, listening to her stories about her life and about growing up. Those conversations are memories I will treasure forever.

I will also always remember the peaceful moments when I visited her and we would hear the rosary at 5:00 p.m. Those moments brought a special sense of comfort and peace.

And, of course, I will never forget watching the Dodgers games with Billie. She was a true Dodgers fan, and I always enjoyed sitting with her and watching the game on television. Those simple moments together became some of my favorite memories.

Billie lived 97 beautiful years, leaving behind so many memories and so much love. She touched the lives of everyone around her in ways that will never be forgotten.

I will definitely miss seeing Billie, talking with her, hearing her wonderful stories, and sharing those everyday moments that I once took for granted. My heart will miss her, but I feel very blessed to have known her for more than 30 years.

Rest peacefully, dear Billie. Thank you for your kindness, your friendship, your stories, and all the little ways you made our neighborhood a better and warmer place.

You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
