

Edilio was born in Villa Clara, Cuba on January 6, 1935 to Israel and Venancia Zamora. He was one of 7 children( Margot, Oneida, Jose, Ernesto, Anna, and Israelito). As a young man, he worked in the fields planting and harvesting sugar cane. Seeking a better life for himself and his family, he migrated to the United States with the help of his cousin. He immediately took on multiple jobs to support himself and his family in Cuba. He met and married the love of his life Maria. They had 4 children, Eduardo, David, Linda, and Richard. He was an avid lover of baseball, Cuban music, and gardening. He also enjoyed traveling with his family.
He retired as a bottler from the Coca Cola Bottling Company.
He is survived by his siblings, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Miller Mies Downey Mortuary, located at 10229 Paramount Blvd, Downey, California, 90241, on October 22, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral mass is scheduled for October 23, 2025, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at St Cyprian Catholic Church, 4714 Clark Ave, Long Beach, CA, 90808.
The graveside service will take place on the same day, October 23, 2025, at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park - Cypress, 4471 Lincoln Ave, Cypress, CA, 90630.
