Jena has been such a sweet person and always had this bright smile that would light up the room. She is an angel, I believe she was the greatest gift for many of us to run into an angel. P.S. Dance graceful with all the other angels. See you my dear.

The graveside service today was so touching, but yet heartbreaking as well. Your dear angel will be missed so much, but the fact that in Christ, you will be with her for eternity, is something to hold on to.

As my son, Randy said, "she was the best person I knew", and it seems everyone felt that way. What a testament to how you raised your daughter.

Dear Julie, Jerry, Chris, Jena's Many Family Members and Her Many Friends,

I just want to express my deepest sympathy to you all. I was very lucky, blessed and honored to have met Jena and to have worked with her at The Garden Grove School District last year at Heritage Elementary, and this year at Peter's Clinic. Jena was such a joy to be around. Yes she was shy in her own way, but in the brief time I knew her, I saw her grow and blossom and she was 100% pure beauty inside and out. You raised a very remarkable daughter and should be oh so proud. She loved her family so much,and talked about you a lot. Jena's friends were blessed for all the years they had with Jena, she talked about her friends a lot as well. She loved you all so much, and she shared stories with me many times and she would just beam and light up and smile that beautiful smile of hers. She loved her siblings and spoke of you often, and she was so proud of you all. She was a gal who touched everyone with her kind spirit, her love, compassion, and beauty. Her passion for children shined and she loved helping and teaching the many children she worked with. She really enjoyed Camp this past Summer, and was looking forward to going again. She loved people and she had an amazing spirit that she shared with everyone she came into contact with. Jena is a beautiful young lady, both inside and out. Her smile could light up a room. She had a presence about her and she made a difference, she had a bright future ahead of her. She still does, in the Heaven's Above. She was a true, loving Christian, and loved the Lord, I know she is with him, and we all will see her again. She left too soon, why, only the Lord knows, but I am so grateful that I had the chance to meet her, spend time with her and I rejoice knowing I will see her one day again.
Thank You Julie, Jerry, Chris and your Families and Friends for meeting and sharing with me about Jena, at her gathering. I pray that the Lord gives you strength at this very sad and difficult time. May he comfort and heal your hearts, and may Jena's light forever glow, may her spirit forever be with you, and may your memories of Jena be with you always and keep you smiling. I am very sorry for your loss. Jena was a very very sweet person, always saying hi to everyone, and always in a great mood. I met Jena a few months ago while she worked at Heritage and although we were not in the same classroom, I could tell she was great with the kids and had an amazing attitude. I worked with Jena at Peter's IBI Clinic. Her tender hearted nature and kindness were such a blessing to the children she worked with. She possessed such an amazing faith for someone so young and I loved that she liked to listen to Joyce Meyer on the way to work. She made a difference in the lives of others; children and adults alike and I am privileged for having known her. Though she was only with us for a short time, she touched many lives, especially the children in Special Education classes. Her sweet spirit helped to calm the children with behaviors. I met Jena through my children and my son-in-law. Although I didn't really know her, I was impressed with her constant smile, postive outlook, and how she always strove to make everyone feel better about themselves. Jena was my first girlfriend..and the baddest female hip hop dancer I have ever seen and had the privelage of ever dancing with. She was an amazing girlfriend and introduced me to LOVE at a young age. I will never forget her impact on my life. And its a devastating loss to this world. She can dance with MJ now like she always wanted.. Black Knights for life!!

Jena was a beautiful person inside and out. She was a part of the popular group in high school but never let that separate her from anyone who just wanted to be her friend.
