Raymond was the son of Edward and Elizabeth O’Farrell. Born May 3, 1924 in Bloomington, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Raymond worked at McDonald Douglas as an inspector retiring in 1985 after 34 years. He served during WW II from 1943-1945 in the Army Signal Corp. Raymond enjoyed calligraphy and was an avid gardener, orchids being his favorite. He was a member of the Long Beach Orchid Society for more than 40 years winning awards for his orchids. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. He had a grand sense of humor and loved life. He truly enjoyed being with family and friends. Raymond will be deeply missed by the ones who loved him.
