Born on September 28, 1945, in Akron, Ohio, he was the son of Florence and Richard Brown. Richard went on to have a long and meaningful career with Hughes Aircraft and Boeing, where he took great pride in his work and contributions throughout the years.
Richard will be remembered as a devoted father who was actively involved in his children’s lives, volunteering at their school and serving as a coach for their sports teams. He also shared many of his own interests with them, including his love of fishing, often taking his children out on the family boat to fish at different lakes. He participated in many fishing tournaments with the Good Ol’ Boys and created lasting memories with his family through the things he loved most. Many people also knew him alongside his longtime best friend, Lucky, his beloved three-legged dog, as well as his other cherished dog, Snoopy.
He had a deep love for music and especially enjoyed listening to Don McLean, Frank Sinatra, the Beach Boys, Elton John, Queen, and Adele. One of his favorite songs was “American Pie” by Don McLean.
He is survived by his children, Richard Brown III, Mary Heather Brown, and Alice Brown.
Richard will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and everyone whose life he touched. He will forever be a son, brother, friend, and father.
