Royce Rae Booker

She and her twin Joyce were born on March 10, 1935 in Oldham, South Dakota. She was one of 4 daughters of Raymond and Blanche Hoffman. At the age of 12, her family moved west to California, where she graduated from Lynwood High and went to work for Safeway Stores. She married Byron Booker (Sonny) in August of 1956 and moved to Paramount, CA where she had a daughter, Rochelle and a son, Randall. In 1975 Royce and Sonny moved to Huntington Beach, CA and she continued to work at Safeway Grocery Stores until her early retirement in 1991. She was a kind, compassionate, loving and giving woman. She was always there for anyone that needed help. She loved to host parties and family gathering at her home and many happy memories were made there.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 30 years, Sonny in 1986; her devoted son-in-law, Raymond in June of 2004; and her loving twin sister Joyce on October 7, 2014.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her children, Rochelle & Randy; her grandchildren, Robert, Taryn (Joe), Christine and Andrew (Jessica); her sisters, Phyllis (Bud) Smith, Kay (Pete) McHale and her many nieces & nephews.

And she leaves her amazing spirit in the hearts of her Great-Grandchildren: Raymond, Vincent, Addison, Josh, Tyler and Jacob.
