Ted Spence

Ted, as everyone best knew him, was born July 6, 1942, in Bloomington, IL, the son of John and Frances Spence. He grew up in Bloomington, IL and moved with the family to Montebello, California in the summer of 1952. He graduated from Cantwell High School and Loyola Marymount University. He spent his career in sales and management in the steel industry and went on to happily retire and spend many years traveling and playing golf. He was a member of the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.

Ted was preceded in death by his loving wife Nancy Spence, his parents and his sister Mary Jane Lee. He is survived by his brother George and Yvonne Spence of Tustin, CA and his brother Tim and Linda Spence of Whittier, CA, nephews Craig Spence, Todd Spence and Hans Sieber, nieces Geneen Spence, Pam Lee, Allison Spence, Ann Collingwood and great nephews and nieces.

Funeral services for Mr. Spence will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Long Beach, CA. Private interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
