Deepest, sincerest and most heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of Arnold Rose. Arnold was my English teacher from grades 9 to 13 at Tecumseh High School in Chatham, Ontario from 1971 to 1976. He left a great lasting impression on me on the importance of The Chrysalids, Out Of The Silent Planet, 1984, Brave New World, Hamlet and Macbeth. Arnold made English meaningful and fun. Enjoyed reminiscing with him at the 2006 Tecumseh High School 30-year reunion picnic. Many great memories of a wonderful person and teacher.- Walter Wolanski

Arnold, we met through Gloria at the Kool Klay Kafe and during the times we spent together, you made me laugh. I was always so comfortable with the gentleman, humorist who lit up the room, with just your warm presence. I lurked you through Gloria's facebook pages and enjoyed your travels and pics with the two of you. I know many were blessed with knowing you much better than I, but once you meet Arnold Rose he remains in your heart, as a very special man.
My thoughts and prayers are with Gloria that special lady, your family and friends as they share their memories of you and hold you close in words and deeds. I will think of you during Shiva and in the weeks to come. Rest for you, in God's goodness.

I'm a former student of Mr. Rose, and I smile and am grateful when I recall the classes he taught. I hope that the family will be comforted by their fond memories, even in their time of mourning.
