Craig William Cassels

May 31, 1930 - June 10, 2015

Craig passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Toronto on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 after a short but brave battle with illness. He had just turned 85. He was predeceased by his parents Eugenia (nee Brennen) and Charles W. Cassels and sisters Mary Lou Stirling, Genie Sams and dear brother Michael. Survived by Steven Sams (Donna) Stratford, Connecticut, Margo Mundle (James) Naples, Florida, Juliane Jones (Rick) Dundas, Ontario, Pat Stirling, St. Catharines, Ontario and Stacey Redshaw McLean, Kitchener, Ontario. Predeceased by nephews Mark and Scott Stirling. Also survived by great-nephews and nieces. Craig will be sadly missed by dear friends Vivien and Cathy Westcott and their families. Craig loved to visit at Vivien's home which he fondly called "the cottage". He will also be missed by his friends at the Southport Condominium. A graveside service will take place on June 23rd at 11 a.m. at the Hamilton Cemetery (section M) on York Blvd., across from Dundurn Castle. Craig enjoyed golf and skiing. He loved to spend the winter in Florida and had recently returned. Thank you to Dr. Tall and all the staff at St. Joseph's for their exceptional care.
